E a viagem chegou ao fim.../And the trip finished...

Bom Dia!!!

Depois de 04 sensacionais dias em Bonito e dois dias de viagem, terminou agora a primeira viagem do ano rotário de 2011/2012 da Terra Brasil Turismo.
Nossa ultima noite em Bonito foi mais um momento inesquecível. Os estudantes trocaram flâmulas, pins, doaram livros para a biblioteca Publica de Bonito e em seguida tivemos o tão esperado TALENT SHOW!! Foi um total sucesso com mais de 12 apresentações de vários países diferentes!! Depois, muita festa com direito a Dj!!
No domingo cedo começamos nossa volta para casa! Os desembarques foram tranqüilos. Neste momento, todos os intercambistas já estão em casa na companhia de suas famílias ou a caminho de casa, e nós da Terra Brasil, só temos que agradecer a todos vocês do Rotary pela oportunidade de realizarmos mais uma viagem bem sucedida, bem como aos intercambistas, suas famílias no exterior e anfitriãs. Gostaria muito de agradecer também nosso chaperone Walter Weidenholzer (Áustria), pela atenção e ajuda. A nossas monitoras Ana e Paola pelas risadas e muito profissionalismo! Ao nosso médico Dr Gustavo Rabelo por cuidar bem dos estudantes! Daqui a 17 dias embarco para a tão esperada viagem ao Nordeste do Brasil de Novembro/Dezembro!

Good Morning!!!

After four awesome days in Bonito and two days on the road, the first trip of the exchange year of 2011/2011 finished today.
The last night at Bonito was another unforgettable moment. The students changed flags and pins, donated books to the public library and we had the so expected TALENT SHOW!! It was a total success with more than 12 different presentations of many different countries. Just after we had a party with a Dj: we danced a lot! It was a really great night!
On Sunday morning we started our journey back home.
At this moment, all the exchange students are at home, with their host families or on their way home. And we, from Terra Brasil Turismo, would like to thank you a lot: Rotarians, Exchange students, host and natural families, for the opportunity to organize this great trip. I’d like to say thanks too to our Chaperone Walter Weidenholzer (Áustria). Also thanks to our doctor Gustavo Rabelo for taking care of the students, and special thanks to our monitors Ana and Paola for the laughs and for being great tour guides for the students! In 16 days from now I’m going to the SO expected Northeast November/December trip!
So, I’ll talk to you at the next adventures!

Momentos Especiais!! / Great Moments!!

Bonito 2!!!

Bom dia!!!

Nossa, desde a ultima vez que escrevi tanta coisa aconteceu!!

Ontem fomos conhecer a Gruta do Lago Azul: a beleza do lugar é MÁGICA! Todos ficaram impressionados com a cor intensamente azulada da água e com as formações geológicas! À noite, tivemos tempo livre para mais compras no centrinho de Bonito!!!
Hoje bem cedo saímos para curtir um passeio muito especial: snorkeling no Rio Sucuri! São mais ou menos 1h30 descendo o rio, observando todas as maravilhas que a natureza nos apresenta! Todos ficaram maravilhados com a quantidade de peixes e com a transparência da água. Realmente incrível!


Hoje à noite, teremos uma festinha onde os estudantes irão trocar flâmulas, pins e doar livros para a biblioteca local. Em seguida....o tão esperado TALENT SHOW!! Com certeza a noite vai ser muito especial!
A viagem está quase no fim, e todos estão querendo curtir cada segundo que ainda nos resta!

Hello!!!!

Well, since the last time I wrote a LOT OF GREAT THINGS happened!!

Yesterday we went to the Blue Lake cave: the place is MAGIC! Everyone was impressed with the bright blue color of the water and with the cave’s formations! At night, we had free time at Bonito downtown to have dinner and more shopping!!
Early today we had a special tour: snorkeling at Sucuri River. It is about 1h30 snorkeling down Sucuri river, and we had the chance to see how perfect nature is! Everybody was amazed with the lots of different fishes and the clear water! Unforgettable!


Tonight we will have a small party, so the students will exchange flags and pins, donate books to the public library and also we will have the expected TALENT SHOW!! It is sure that the night will be REALLY SPECIAL!
The trip is almost at the end, so the students are enjoying every single minute they still have here!!

Students Report - Jessica - Canada

Hey Everyone! We have been on this trip for about a week now and it is one of the best expericanes that I have ever had. I have made friends from all over the world and made old friendships stronger. We’ve gotten to see alligators, giant hamsters (capybaras) as well as different speacys of birds. We went horse back riding, hiking, safarying, as well as parana fishing in the Pantanal. We arrived in Bonito two nights ago where we spent the night on the town and than yesterday went swimming at the waterfalls and rafting. Today we went to the Blue lake cave and saw the bluest water I have ever seen. Tomorrow we will spend the day snorkeling. I never thought I would have the opportunity to experience one of the best trips in the world. Such a great time!!!!

Bonito/MS!!!

Boa Tarde!!!!!

Escrevo agora de Bonito/MS, e aqui realmente é LINDO!
Chegamos ontem depois de uma tranqüila viagem desde o Pantanal.
Hoje cedo começamos nossos passeios por essa cidade, e já tivemos um dia cheio de diversão! Primeiro fomos para o Parque das Cachoeiras, onde tivemos oportunidade de nadar nas várias cachoeiras, incluindo uma tirolesa! À tarde, nos divertimos MUITO no passeio de bote (rafting) do Rio Formoso. Brincamos, jogamos água uns nos outros, cantamos enfim, nos esbaldamos!!!


Daqui a pouco vamos para o centro da cidade, para jantar e fazer algumas comprinhas de souvenir!



Nossa aventura aqui em Bonito esta somente começando, e logo logo mando mais noticias/fotos!!

Good Afternoon!!

I write now from Bonito in Mato Grosso do Sul state. “Bonito” means beautiful in Portuguese, and here is really really GORGEOUS!!
We arrived here yesterday night!


Today early we started our tours here, and we had a full and great day! First we went to Parque das Cachoeiras (Waterfall Park), where we had the opportunity to swim a lot at the waterfalls and have fun at the zip line! In the afternoon, we have had a blast during the Rafting at Formoso River. We made jokes with the water, sang songs together and enjoyed a lot!!! In one hour we will go to Bonito downtown to have dinner and make some shopping!

Our adventure here in Bonito is just starting, and soon I will send more pictures and news!!

Pantanal!

Bom dia a todos!!!

Hoje faz mais um lindo dia aqui no Pantanal!

Por aqui está tudo excelente!! O tempo aqui está muito bom, MUITO SOL e os passeios estão sendo muito bem aproveitados.
O grupo foi dividido em 3 menores e a cada manhã e tarde, cada um está fazendo um passeio diferente: caminhada, cavalgada e safári! Todos estão adorando os passeios e a pousada!! Aqui é maravilhoso!! Tivemos a oportunidade de ver vários animais como Araras Azuis (nosso chaperone Walter estava ansioso para ver), capivaras, tuiuiús (símbolo do Pantanal) muito grandes fazendo seus espetaculares vôos e claro...jacarés, MUITOS jacarés!!


Ontem, a noite foi uma delícia! Tivemos um jantar tipicamente brasileiro (churrasco), com direito musica e fogueira. Depois, muito sertanejo, axé e forró!! Foi muito bom!!
Agora, todos os grupos juntos estão fazendo o último passeio no Pantanal, Pescaria, e logo após o almoço vamos prosseguir nossa viagem com destino a Bonito, onde certamente teremos MAIS DIVERSÃO!!!

Good Morning you all!!

Today is another beautiful Day here in Pantanal!

Here is everything excellent!! The weather is very good, REALLY SUNNY and the kids are having a great time.
We divided the group into 3 smaller groups, so they could enjoy the tours better: trekking, horseback riding and safari! Everyone is in love with the tours and the place where our hotel is: here is marvelous!
Each morning and afternoon, each group makes a different tour. During these days we had the opportunity to see blue macaws (which our chaperone Walter was looking forward to see), capybaras, huge Tuiuiús (symbol of Pantanal) really near us and of course…alligators… LOTS of alligators!!


Last night we had a delicious time: a typical dinner with brazilian food (brazilian barbecue) and a bonfire with lots of music. Later we danced a lot Sertanejo, axé and forró. It was an amazing night!!
Now the groups are making the last tour, fishing, and later, after lunch, we will continue our trip up to Bonito, and from there we will send more news.

Be sure your children are having a blast here!!!

Pantanal - Bem-Vindos!!! / Welcome!!!!

Boa tarde a todos!!!

Já estamos em nossa pousada, e tudo aqui está perfeito!!! Chegamos aqui ontem à noite, e após o jantar fomos descansar da longa viagem até aqui!

Hoje pela manhã após o café tivemos nossa dinâmica de apresentação dos intercambistas e da coordenação da viagem e a orientação geral, na qual passamos regras e dicas para todos aproveitarem melhor a viagem!


A temperatura aqui está agradável, uma média de 28 graus, e todos estão simplesmente AMANDO tudo!!

Good afternoon all!!!!

Welcome to PANTANAL!!!!

I write now from our hotel in the middle of Pantanal, and everything here is perfect! We arrived here yesterday night, and after dinner we went to rest from the long journey until here!


Today after breakfast we made the exchange students and coordination members introducing and the general orientation, when we gave some tips to the students enjoy better the trip and explained the rules.

The weather here is quite pleasant, around 28 degrees, and everyone is just LOVING everything here!

We just arrived in Araçatuba / SP, where we stopped for the night to rest a little of this long trip! The journey so far is great! I am here at the hotel with students who boarded in Belo Horizonte! Tomorrow we will meet students from this region and continue out trip to Pantanal! The bus that left Maringá has arrived in Campo Grande, and they are also ok!
